Berkley Chamber of Commerce Mission Statement

To promote and encourage business in Berkley by establishing a valuable working relationship between the city and its businesses;

Political Action Committee - The Chamber formed this committee when a need was discovered to support local candidates for public office who are not anti-business.

Representation - Your views and involvement are important. We realize that their are limits to time, but it is only through volunteer involvement that the Chamber can represent the voice of the business community.

Board Meetings - Various Dates
Board Meetings are held each month alternating between morning and late afternoon hours. Attendance is not mandatory but members are welcome. Please review the “Events Calendar” on the home page for the current schedule.

Chamber Chats/Berkley Blenders - Various Dates
Networking events are available for members to either host or attend. There is no cost to attend. This is a superb opportunity to meet fellow Chamber members. “Chamber Chats” are morning coffees and “Berkley Blenders” are after-hours events. There are currently one of each available for hosting each month. Please review the “Events Calendar” for the current schedule. Membership Meeting - March 2, 2010
The Coffee Beanery Cafe: This is our “State of the Chamber” meeting. We look at our accomplishments for the past year and our goals for the New Year. The event is free of charge for Chamber Members and potential members.

South Oakland Business Expo - March 10, 2010
Royal Oak Farmer’s Market: SOBE is brought to you by 6 area Chambers – Berkley, Birmingham Bloomfield, Clawson, Ferndale, Madison Heights/Hazel Park, and Royal Oak. Attendees will be able to visit over 100 area businesses showcasing products and services that will appeal to both business customers and residents alike. Exhibitor space is open to Chamber members.

ArtBash - June 12, 2010
Berkley’s very own art fair! The fair provides art, crafts for children, live music, food, entertainment by our local dance studios, and inflatable fun for the kids. Fun for all! Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available.

Berkley CruiseFest - August 20, 2010
Berkley kicks off the Woodward Dream Cruise with a Classic Car Parade the Friday evening before the Woodward Dream Cruise. The Chamber sells the official CruiseFest t-shirt with sponsorship spots available on the back of the shirt.

Golf Outing - September 10, 2010
Rackham Golf Course: 18-hole golf scramble, lunch, door prizes, hole contests, and an awards banquet. This fun event provides networking and sponsorship opportunities for members.

Pub Crawl - October 7, 2010
: A progressive celebration of Berkley’s nightlife, restaurants and food fare. You can either burn off the calories by walking from venue to venue or take our free transportation that ensures you hit each delicious spot by the events end! Various establishments participate. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available.

State of the City Luncheon - October 28, 2010
An annual luncheon meeting during which the mayors of Berkley and Huntington Woods, the Berkley School District Superintendent, the Chairman of the Downtown Development Authority and the President of the Chamber of Commerce present the years accomplishments, challenges and future goals. The luncheon provides a great occasion to network with other Chamber members and City leaders.

Holiday Lights Parade - December 4, 2010
The Chamber joins the Berkley Holiday Lights Committee to provide a FREE shopping trolley in downtown Berkley along with other daytime activities, followed by the Annual Holiday Lights Parade and the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available.

Chamber Holiday Party - December 16, 2010
